Vasopneumatic Pumps
We use vasopneumatic pumps—also known as intermittent compression devices—to help reduce swelling and improve circulation in injured or post-surgical areas. These devices use an inflatable sleeve that rhythmically fills with air and releases pressure, gently pushing excess fluid out of the affected limb and back into the body’s circulatory system. This process can decrease edema, reduce pain, and improve mobility, making it easier for patients to participate in their rehabilitation exercises. Vasopneumatic therapy is commonly used for conditions such as post-surgical swelling, joint injuries, and chronic edema.
